Schloss Pillnitz: not only Palace but Garden!

好玩~~~~~ 天苍苍野茫茫,风吹草低见牛羊, 巧了...呵呵!

Pillnitz, a former village and now residential "suburb" in the far east of Dresden is famous for its palace and gardens. I took abt 40 minutes to cycle there; along the way I passed thru the villages e.g.Loschwitz, Wachwitz, Hosterwitz and Niederpoyritz. Lastly I reached... one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of Dresden, a charming combination of culture and nature - Pillnitz.

Stand at the center, it is the Pillnitz Palace. There are 2 palaces actually: one is facing the sea and it is named Water Palace; the other one was a copy of the Water Palace right over there on the other side of the garden - the Mountain Palace... inside, there are alot of porcelain products selling... See them at my next post. The Baroque Garden, also called French Garden, it is a great pleasure to walk along the blooming flowers and green meadows, palm trees. The nice fountain in the centre adds to the beauty. Some interesting thing I found today is that all the water fountains in Dresden are COIN-FREE unlike Malaysia where people drop in their wish-coins.
